About Portfolio Summary

How do I analyze a domain portfolio?

Portfolio Summary breaks a domain list into the words, industries, extensions, and name lengths that define it. Paste up to 100,000 names to see word frequency, the category mix, extension and length distributions, and a model value estimate for each name. Every breakdown opens the names behind it and exports to CSV.

How to use it

  1. Paste your domains, one per line, or send a list from Zone Counter, Registration Analytics, or the Domain Categorizer.
  2. Complete the quick verification. Large lists run in batches of 2,000.
  3. Move through the tabs: Summary, Valuation, Categories, Word Cloud, Word Stats, Name lengths, and Extensions.
  4. Click any word, length, or extension to see its names, then export that subset.

Questions

What is a domain portfolio?

The set of domain names one person or company owns, usually to resell, develop, or protect a brand. Investors hold anywhere from a handful of names to hundreds of thousands.

How do I value my whole domain portfolio?

Paste the list into Portfolio Summary and open the Valuation tab. Each name gets a v2.1 estimate with a low and high range. Export the table and sort by value to decide what to renew, price, or drop.

Can I see which industries my names belong to?

Yes. The Categories tab groups names by industry vertical and subcategory, using the same lexicon as the Domain Categorizer.
